    The Evidences, Differences, and Proofs
that one is old and one is new and should be viewed that way

The only things other than history that was in the Old Testament and carried forward into the New Testament was the things which pertain to Righteousness.  There was nothing that pertained to tabernacle and life ritual was carried forward.

Another thing to remember is this....   The word "testament" in 2 Corinthians 3:14 refers to what we know as the Old Testament and means contract, covenant or devisory will(1). When someone dies, the Last Will and Testament is read.  It cannot become fulfilled until someone dies(2). That someone is always the one who wrote and expressed his will.  Jesus was the one who had to die so that the Old Covenant or will could become fulfilled.  When Christ died, the Old Testament was finished and the veil in the temple was torn in two(3)...   it was fulfilled, completed and set into operation the New Testament, which is a new Covenant or Contract.

The Old was an agreement beteen God and man....   and it's purpose, ushering the Messiah into being so He would be sacrificed for the atonement for our sins, had been accomplished(4), therefore it's purpose finished.  It's purpose is completed.

At that point we have a new contract (testament) between us and God.  This is a new agreement....   it's purpose is to show the true Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth who is God's Son(5), and show the way to repentance and eternal life through Him by whom we find the only way to God(6).

Below are many Passages that will show the proofs and evidences that the Old Testament is old and outdated, and the New Testament is complete and perfect in itself.  The Old Testament is good for history and as a foundation for our beliefs in God our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Please, prayerfully study each passage provided for your convenience below.
