In light of the Great Commission as portrayed in Matthew 8:18-20 and Mark 16:15-20, all who have accepted Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ, The Son of the Living God, have a great responsibility to take part in the sharing of the Gospel of Christ to the non-Believers in particular.
In addition to the obedience to the commission, the saved are also required to have fellowship with those who are born again and walking in the light (John 3:3; 1 John 1:7). Fellowship with one another leads to the formation of a close family unit; a unit designed on the plan of God to get together to worship His Name, edify our souls, and have doors wide open to welcome any who are seeking encouragement, support, prayer, and comfort; a unit which is otherwise known as the Church.
