What is Thriftiness?
Not letting myself or others spend that which is not necessary.
It's related to the motivational gift of Giving Scripture Text: "If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?" - Luke 16:11 Some of the Attributes: "Prudent managing of resources, work, and the regular putting aside of savings. (a.c.e.) "Knowing how to accomplish the most with the resources that are available." "Not encouraging yourself or others to spend that which is not necessary." Questions to ask yourself: 1. Do the things you own give evidence of lace of care? 2. Do you have bargain purchases in your home that you never use? 3. Do you pay for a service that you have the time and ability to do for yourself? 4. Does the present condition of your car indicate to people that you don't value the possessions that the Lord has given you? Projects and Bible Study Questions to help instill this quality: Name some ways that we can demonstrate thriftiness? How did Jesus show thriftiness?
