What is Thoroughness?
Knowing what factors will diminish the effectiveness of my work or words
if neglected.
It's related to the motivational gift of Teaching Scripture Text: "The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge." - Proverb 18:15 Some of the Attributes: Knowing what will reduce the effectiveness of my work if neglected but doing all that should be done to complete it. (a.c.e.) Learning what details are important for the success of a project. Taking the time and effort to validate facts before discussing a matter. Questions to ask yourself: 1. Do you pass on reports without checking them out for accuracy? 2. Do you have a reputation for finishing one task completely before beginning another? 3. When you are asked to clean, do you clean only what is seen or also what is not? 4. Do you use concordances and dictionaries in your personal study of the Bible. 5. Do you finish a task on the basis that god is going to evaluate it and reward you accordingly? Projects and Bible Study Questions to help instill this quality: Does the second question above mean that you should only work on one project at a time? Explain. Give an example of thoroughness in the life of Jesus. Tell of another illustration of thoroughness in the Bible. Explain how to use a concordance. |
