What is Enthusiasm?
Expressing with my spirit the joy of my soul.
It's related to the motivational gift of Exhortation Scripture Text: "Rejoice evermore." "Quench not the Spirit." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16,19 Some of the Attributes: Learning what actions and attitudes please God and becoming excited about doing them. Learning how to motivate others by a spirit of praise and joy. Seeing the value in situations that would normally discourage others. Learning the differences between emotional excitement and a spirit of enthusiasm. Questions to ask yourself: 1. Do you make it a habit to cheerfully greet all those you meet? 2. Do you tend to see a glass, partially filled with liquid, as half empty or half full? 3. Do you working attitudes convince people that you are happy in your work? Projects and Bible Study Questions to help instill this quality: Taking each of the attitudes above, tell how someone in the Bible demonstrated each one. In what one area of your life would it please the Lord to show more enthusiasm? How could you begin to do so? |
