      What is Determination?

  • Purposing to accomplish God's goals in God's time regardless of the opposition.
  • It's related to the motivational gift of Ruling



    Scripture Text:

    "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:  and not to me only but to all them that love his appearing."  -  2 Timothy 4:7,8



    Some of the Attributes:
     

  • "Learning to give whatever energy is necessary to complete a project."
  • "Learning how to reduce a seemingly impossible task to achievable goals."
  • "Purposing to accomplish God's best regardless of the opposition."  (a.c.e.)



    Questions to ask yourself:

    1.  Does your home contain projects that you have started and have not yet finished?
    2.  Do you allow distractions to hinder you in completing an assigned task?

  •  Have you ever made a vow that you have not fulfilled?
  •  Have you ever quit a job or sports event because you thought you wouldn't succeed?



    Projects to help instill this quality:

  • Tell about a Bible Character who demonstrated determination.
