      What is Cautiousness?

  • Knowing how important right timing is in accomplishing right actions.
  • It's related to the motivational gift of Giving



    Scripture Text:

    "Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth."  -  Proverb 19:2



    Some of the Attributes:
     

  • "Learning that unfair situation may contain danger."
  • "Gaining adequate counsel before making decisions."
  • "Seeing future consequences of present actions."
  • "Learning to detect and avoid evil and unGodly people."
  • "Recognizing temptations and fleeing them."



    Questions to ask yourself:

    1.  Do you screen the kinds of magazines, books, videos, games that come into your home?
    2.  Do you monitor what your family does on the computer?

  •  Do you monitor the kinds of web sites to which they go?
  •  Do you know what types of games do they play?
  •  Do you make it a practice to know who their online friends are?
  •  Do you know who it is who writes them by eMail or messenger?
  •  Do you know if they're going into chat rooms?
  •  Do you know to whom they have been talking in chat rooms?
  •  Are you aware that chat rooms are a place for sexual predators looking for our teenagers?
    3.  Has your family seen you make an unwise business decision?
    4.  Do you have friends or activities that are wrong influences on you and your family?



    Projects to help instill this quality:

  • Give an example of cautiousness in the Bible.
  • How can you be more cautious in your daily life?



    Bible Study Questions:

    1.  How did Jesus illustrate cautiousness?
    2.  Read Proverb 28:22....   What does this have to do with being cautious?
